Happily ever-afters are real.
Looking back, it was a long, heartbreaking, dramatic yet very joyful journey to self revelation and to finding true love. Hearts got broken but fate is not so cruel to let those hearts not be whole again. Midnight has fallen in love with a childhood sweetheart, we had dinner with them just two weeks ago when they dropped by for our usual bonding "rituals". Yes, miraculously, we have been friends - truth is, he now calls me by my new last name. Although i have to admit it did take quite a while before the peace finally settled in, after all, everyone thought i was gonna marry him.
Now, standing by the sea with my husband -Zephyrus Gabriel y Antonette - I couldn't ask for anything more. In fact, i have nothing much to say anymore, no poetic inpirations, no dilly-dally and funny remarks from a dark-humored Cinderella.
"Midnight's getting married," Zephyrus whispered and smiled at me, and as always, he took my breathe away.
"Wonderful right?", i said and wrapped my arms around his nape, in turn, he put his arms around my waist and pulled me closer.
"Hmmn," he stared into my eyes and i saw quiet tears begin to fall. "You make me so happy sometimes, i mean, wow, you're my wife."
I chuckled and wiped away the tears, "Believe it my dear husband, you and me, for richer or for poorer, for better or for worse, til death do we part."
"I love you," he fervently said and my whole world sang, forever shone in his eyes and as he kissed my lips i knew i will never want to kiss anyone else but this man that never failed to make me fall in love, again and again and again.
"I love you too," I whispered.
Grandma used to say that love is the only right thing in this world - the one thing that makes everything wrong so right.
And once again, she told the truth.
I, Amelia Duprey, proudly say that as of today, I am officially Mrs. Zephyrus Gabriel y Antonette. And must you ever want to visit, i'll be here by the sea - loving but one man for eternity.
